Fields of Harvested Tears

For some, every tear is a prayer caught in the palm of Love. One that hears past words, understands before utterance, and interprets the inexpressible. Love keeps the tear, records its cause, interprets what’s best and sows it in heaven’s field of God’s glory on earthly soil.

For some, though they look through windows upon barren grounds, weed-strewn fields, or darkened wilderness, there is a crop growing, unseen by their eyes, yet tended by a Husbandman. Whispers of faith will speak truth to their heart though it contradicts sight or sense.

For some, the joy that is coming is unimaginable because the eyes no longer weep, the voice no longer prays, the heart no longer hopes, and pain has smothered the soul to silence.

Yet for Love, Who never forgets or forsakes, is faithful to the faithless, will send for the Spirit to reap gold for the sower, sheaves of answers, abundance of blessings, and handfuls of purpose. And new tears will come, those of joy and not sorrow. A new song will be sung, one that praises the God.

And for some, there may be a small regret that there had not been more seeded tears because the bounty has exceeded all earthly possibilities.

“Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with them.”
Psalm 126:5-6

Shannon Gallatin

Though merely a trophy of God's infinite grace, I am blessed to be the wife of my favorite pastor. I'm also the mother of a miracle with at least 6 treasures in heaven being raised by my heavenly Father. The Lord has used my past jobs of working with families affected by addictions, abuse, and other life tragedies, to help oversee the women's ministry at Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes. I couldn't be more thankful for His entrustment to wear multiple hats of various sizes, though they might fit a bit awkward on my noggin'. Praying that each of these things are being used to make me more like my Jesus and bring Him great glory.

Though I love all of the Word of God, Philippians 3:10 has become my life verse and Acts 20:24 my ministry pursuit.
